The Rides:
You will have a selection of three days of bicycle rides on some of the most
beautiful and challenging roads in the state of Texas. The routes are primarily
on lightly traveled ranch roads with only short distances on any highways.
All of the rides are fully supported and sagged, with numerous rest
stops (including port-a-cans) along the way.
Friday, April 2:
Friday's routes will start and end in Fredericksburg at the
Fredericksburg High
School
parking lot on Hwy. 16. There will be a short, a medium and a long route
with distances of 35, 44, and 55 miles. You may start at any time
you desire, but keep in mind that the rest stops will close at about 3 p.m.
Saturday, April 3:
Saturday is Century day for those riders who really want to challenge
themselves on a tough 104 mile century route. All of the Saturday rides will start at the
Schreiner University Campus
and you may begin whenever you wish. The short and medium routes will be
37 and 58 miles, and it will be possible to cut short the century with rides of 70
or 88 miles as well.
Sunday, April 4:
Sunday's rides will be shorter since most of us will be heading home on
Sunday. The routes will be 19 and 31 miles and will be supported.
There will be one rest stop and it will close as soon as
the last rider passes through.
